In recent years, the output from Portugal’s biomedical research has been steadily increasing. However, the innovation ecosystem is still developing and there are diverse systemic challenges to overcome to ensure the efficient translation of biomedical research into clinical applications.
On July 10, we organized an event in Lisbon that brought together some of Portugal’s top biomedical researchers and entrepreneurs, decision-makers and international experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities in bringing scientific discoveries from the lab to the clinic.
