Join us on 10 July in Lisbon for an event focusing on the crucial role of biomedical innovation for the future of health, turning biomedical knowledge into new treatments, diagnostics and services.
One of the aims is facilitating networking among the research and entrepreneurial communities, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange to bridge the gap between the lab and society.
The event will be inaugurated by Fernando Alexandre, Portugal’s Minister of Education, Science and Innovation, and will feature Manuel Heitor, Director of the Technology Policy Lab at the Center for Innovation, Technology and Policy Research and former Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education of Portugal, who will provide insights into the panorama of science and innovation across Europe.
We will also have Trine Bartholdy, Chief Innovation Officer at the BioInnovation Institute Foundation in Copenhagen, Denmark, who will discuss the BioInnovation Institute and how to bring ideas to life and research to market.
Additionally, the conference will include round tables focusing on success stories from the Portuguese innovation ecosystem and strategies for fostering innovation and knowledge transfer, with particular emphasis on the critical role played by research institutions.
