La detecci\u00f3 primerenca d\u2019aquestes afeccions resulta fonamental per implementar ter\u00e0pies adequades que permetin mitigar els efectes adversos i millorar el pron\u00f2stic a llarg termini.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En aquesta edici\u00f3 de <\/span><b><i>News from the lab<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, els investigadors <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/caixaresearch.org\/ca\/convocatoria-caixaresearch-consolidate-2022-projecte-electrode-nounats\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Albert Fabregat<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, de la Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV), i Vicen\u00e7 Pascual, de l\u2019Institut d\u2019Investigaci\u00f3 Sanit\u00e0ria Pere Virgili, ens presenten un dispositiu que estan desenvolupat amb el suport del programa CaixaImpulse Innovaci\u00f3 i que permet la detecci\u00f3 preco\u00e7 de problemes neurol\u00f2gics potencials en nadons.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Segons l\u2019Institut Nacional d\u2019Estad\u00edstica, prop del 7\u00a0% dels beb\u00e8s nascuts a Espanya s\u00f3n prematurs, cosa que representa gaireb\u00e9 22.000 parts anuals abans de les 37 setmanes de gestaci\u00f3. La prematuritat i les complicacions durant el part exposen<\/span><b> desenes de milers de nounats a riscos neurol\u00f2gics significatius<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. No obstant aix\u00f2, presenta diverses limitacions que fan que se\u2019n faci un \u00fas redu\u00eft en la pr\u00e0ctica en nounats.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Els el\u00e8ctrodes convencionals utilitzats en l\u2019aEEG no estan dissenyats per a nadons ni per a monitoratges prolongats, a causa <\/span><b>de problemes d\u2019adhesi\u00f3, de funcionament i de durabilitat<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> que dificulten la qualitat i la consist\u00e8ncia del monitoratge.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Fabregat i Vicen\u00e7 han desenvolupat un nou tipus d\u2019el\u00e8ctrodes amb un disseny espec\u00edfic per a nounats<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> batejat com a aCUP-E, un sistema que han avaluat en un estudi recent publicat a la revista <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.frontiersin.org\/journals\/pediatrics\/articles\/10.3389\/fped.2024.1452862\/full\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Frontiers in Pediatrics<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El dispositiu aCUP-E est\u00e0 <\/span><b>dissenyat per adaptar-se a la forma cranial dels <\/b><b>nadons<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, cosa que assegura s\u2019hi adhereixi millor, <\/span><b>i per captar el senyal de manera m\u00e9s eficient<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
