A m\u00e9s, els adolescents europeus d&#8217;ambd\u00f3s sexes amb prou feines coneixen l&#8217;<a href=\"https:\/\/ca.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/STEM\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">oferta de carreres en ci\u00e8ncies, tecnologia, enginyeria i matem\u00e0tiques<\/a> \u2014conegudes com STEM, per les sigles en angl\u00e8s\u2014, aix\u00ed com les aptituds que s\u00f3n rellevants per a aquestes traject\u00f2ries acad\u00e8miques. Aquests dos factors resulten determinants en el <strong>nombre de noies que trien estudis relacionats amb les ci\u00e8ncies<\/strong>. Les estad\u00edstiques mostren que hi ha una notable bretxa de g\u00e8nere ja que el nombre de noies que trien carreres STEM \u00e9s bastant menor.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"> Per aquests motius, la <strong>necessitat d&#8217;un canvi<\/strong> \u00e9s cada vegada m\u00e9s urgent. A la Uni\u00f3 Europea dels propers anys, amb una economia del coneixement en desenvolupament i una pres\u00e8ncia creixent de les noves tecnologies, el nombre de carreres en qu\u00e8 seran necess\u00e0ries compet\u00e8ncies STEM ser\u00e0 m\u00e9s gran que mai. Amb l&#8217;entrada de <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rri-tools.eu\/about-rri\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">la recerca i la innovaci\u00f3 responsables (RRI) <\/a>a la primera l\u00ednia de l&#8217;agenda europea, les carreres STEM s&#8217;han d&#8217;orientar cada cop m\u00e9s cap a les <strong>necessitats de la societat<\/strong>. \u00a0<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"> <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.caixaresearch.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/ca\/caixac1.png\" style=\"width: 400px; height: 276px;\"\/><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"> Per tant, una Europa competitiva nom\u00e9s ser\u00e0 possible si es donen a con\u00e8ixer a m\u00e9s noies les diverses carreres STEM, a m\u00e9s de crear les condicions \u00f2ptimes per suscitar-ne l&#8217;inter\u00e8s. Per assolir aquest objectiu, hem d&#8217;analitzar de quina manera comuniquem les ci\u00e8ncies i presentem les carreres STEM, i treballar per un disseny de les carreres m\u00e9s d&#8217;acord amb la <strong>igualtat de g\u00e8nere<\/strong>. Amb aquest prop\u00f2sit neix el projecte HYPATIA.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"> <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.caixaresearch.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/ca\/caixac2.png\" style=\"width: 400px; height: 264px;\"\/><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"> <strong>HYPATIA<\/strong> \u00e9s un projecte finan\u00e7at per la Comissi\u00f3 Europea en el context del programa marc Horitz\u00f3 2020. L&#8217;objectiu d&#8217;HYPATIA \u00e9s posar en contacte centres educatius, museus de ci\u00e8ncies, instituts de recerca i ind\u00fastria amb experts en q\u00fcestions de g\u00e8nere i amb els adolescents mateixos a fi d&#8217;elaborar un paquet de directrius, m\u00f2duls i activitats que desperti l&#8217;inter\u00e8s de les adolescents europees, d&#8217;entre tretze i divuit anys dins i fora del sistema educatiu, pel model STEM. Aquest projecte es desenvolupar\u00e0 al llarg de tres anys (2015-2018) i les activitats que en sorgeixin s&#8217;aplicaran en catorze pa\u00efsos de la Uni\u00f3 Europea i altres estats. Obra Social &#8220;la Caixa&#8221; forma part d&#8217;aquest projecte col\u00b7laboratiu el coordinador del qual \u00e9s el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.e-nemo.nl\/en\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">centre de ci\u00e8ncies NEMO d&#8217;Holanda<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"> El consorci HYPATIA estar\u00e0 format per un conjunt de catorze nodes o hubs per tal de garantir una gran acollida, a m\u00e9s dels catorze pa\u00efsos directament implicats. I els seus efectes aniran m\u00e9s enll\u00e0 de la mateixa Europa a trav\u00e9s de les xarxes <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ecsite.eu\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">ECSITE<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scientix.eu\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Scientix<\/a> i altres xarxes relacionades, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rri-tools.eu\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">com RRI Tools<\/a>. Els impactes esperats proporcionaran <strong>un canvi en la manera de comunicar la ci\u00e8ncia<\/strong> i un notable <strong>augment de la participaci\u00f3 de les joves europees en el model STEM<\/strong>.
