Tanmateix, aquestes metodologies, considerades una de les bases del futur de la medicina personalitzada, encara no estan a l\u2019abast de la majoria de la comunitat biom\u00e8dica.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"> <span id=\"docs-internal-guid-374a2960-7fff-7658-6f2a-b2f5a6bfa477\">Al Barcelona Supercomputing Center (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bsc.es\/ca\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">BSC<\/a>), treballem per millorar les eines per identificar aquestes alteracions gen\u00f2miques, n\u2019optimitzem l\u2019efici\u00e8ncia i en redu\u00efm el cost. Ho fem de la m\u00e0 del Massachusetts Institute of Technology (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mit.edu\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">MIT<\/a>) a trav\u00e9s del programa <a href=\"https:\/\/obrasociallacaixa.org\/ca\/investigacion-y-becas\/convocatorias-de-investigacion\/mit-spain-la-caixa-foundation-seed-fund\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">MIT-Spain \u201dla Caixa\u201d Foundation Seed Fund<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"> Actualment, les alteracions gen\u00f2miques s\u2019identifiquen a partir de l\u2019extracci\u00f3 i seq\u00fcenciaci\u00f3 de les mostres dels pacients i la seva posterior an\u00e0lisi amb models computacionals. Tot plegat \u00e9s un proc\u00e9s lent i complex.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"> La seq\u00fcenciaci\u00f3 de nova generaci\u00f3 ha perm\u00e8s reduir dr\u00e0sticament el cost i el temps de digitalitzaci\u00f3 del genoma hum\u00e0, per\u00f2 el preu d\u2019emmagatzemar, processar i analitzar les dades no ha evolucionat de la mateixa manera. A m\u00e9s,\u00a0 la demanda de resultats, cada cop m\u00e9s acurats, tamb\u00e9 creix.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"> Aix\u00ed doncs, la computaci\u00f3 \u00e9s ara el principal coll d\u2019ampolla per a aquestes noves tecnologies de medicina personalitzada. Les eines actuals de processament i an\u00e0lisi per identificar alteracions requereixen una gran capacitat de c\u00e0lcul i d\u2019emmagatzemament de dades que, justament, centres com el BSC poden oferir.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"> <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.caixaresearch.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/ca\/CARD+def+CAT.jpg\" style=\"width: 400px; height: 400px;\"\/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"> <span id=\"docs-internal-guid-374a2960-7fff-7658-6f2a-b2f5a6bfa477\">El nostre projecte, \u201cGenomic Computation using Flash and Accelerators\u201d, es basa en un protocol inform\u00e0tic, anomenat <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/cg.bsc.es\/smufin\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">SMuFin<\/a>, per identificar mutacions pat\u00f2genes i dissenyat per treure el m\u00e0xim profit de noves tecnologies, com ara acceleradors i mem\u00f2ries no vol\u00e0tils.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"> D\u2019aquesta manera, un sol ordinador ser\u00e0 capa\u00e7 d\u2019analitzar un pacient en nom\u00e9s unes hores. M\u00e8todes com aquest, que combinen protocols dissenyats i optimitzats per a noves generacions d\u2019ordinadors, s\u00f3n l\u2019\u00fanica soluci\u00f3 realista per les an\u00e0lisis gen\u00f2miques a gran escala.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"> <span id=\"docs-internal-guid-f91bcf91-7fff-6249-3088-0deb7e649fb7\">Aquest projecte \u00e9s un dels dotze seleccionats a la primera convocat\u00f2ria <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/obrasociallacaixa.org\/ca\/investigacion-y-becas\/convocatorias-de-investigacion\/mit-spain-la-caixa-foundation-seed-fund\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">MIT-Spain \u201dla Caixa\u201d Foundation Seed Fund<\/a>.
