Els projectes estan liderats per 25 centres d\u2019investigaci\u00f3, universitats i hospitals espanyols, i 9 de portuguesos.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La convocat\u00f2ria, a la qual s\u2019havien presentat en aquesta vuitena edici\u00f3 714 propostes de recerca b\u00e0sica, cl\u00ednica i translacional, est\u00e0 especialment dirigida a l\u2019abordatge de reptes de salut en diversos \u00e0mbits: neuroci\u00e8ncies, malalties cardiovasculars i metab\u00f2liques, oncologia, malalties infeccioses i tecnologies facilitadores en algun d\u2019aquests camps.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En aquesta edici\u00f3, els acords amb la <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breakthrought1d.org\/es\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fundaci\u00f3n Breakthrough T1D<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> i amb la <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ffluzon.org\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fundaci\u00f3n Luz\u00f3n<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> han perm\u00e8s centrar m\u00e9s l\u2019atenci\u00f3 en el finan\u00e7ament d\u2019iniciatives dirigides a la diabetis de tipus\u00a01 \u2014de la qual es financen dos projectes\u2014 i a l\u2019esclerosi lateral amiotr\u00f2fica (ELA) \u2014amb un projecte seleccionat. La convocat\u00f2ria es duu a terme, a m\u00e9s, en col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 amb la <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fct.pt\/en\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Funda\u00e7\u00e3o para a Ci\u00eancia e a Tecnologia<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (FCT), organisme p\u00fablic vinculat al Ministeri d\u2019Educaci\u00f3, Ci\u00e8ncia i Innovaci\u00f3 de Portugal, que destina 1,8 milions d\u2019euros a subvencionar 3\u00a0dels 9 projectes portuguesos premiats en aquesta edici\u00f3.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entre els seleccionats d\u2019aquest any en institucions catalanes hi ha projectes orientats a millorar la maduraci\u00f3 de les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules beta per al tractament de la diabetis, a crear un sistema fiable sense necessitat d\u2019experimentar amb animals per testar medicaments per a les lesions medul\u00b7lars, o a abordar el microambient tumoral per desbloquejar la immunoter\u00e0pia contra el c\u00e0ncer cerebral.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A m\u00e9s, en aquesta edici\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 cal destacar el suport a tres projectes d\u2019investigaci\u00f3 en centres catalans per aconseguir tractaments en malalties minorit\u00e0ries pedi\u00e0triques, com la s\u00edndrome de Myhre o la leuc\u00e8mia de c\u00e8l\u00b7lules T resistent \u2014un tipus rar i agressiu de leuc\u00e8mia infantil\u2014 i per entendre millor les malalties mitocondrials i combatre el dany cerebral que causen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En paraules d\u2019\u00c0ngel Font, subdirector general d\u2019Investigaci\u00f3 i Beques de la Fundaci\u00f3 \u201dla\u00a0Caixa\u201d, \u00abla investigaci\u00f3 biom\u00e8dica \u00e9s una de les vies m\u00e9s poderoses per millorar la vida de les persones. Els 34 projectes premiats aborden reptes molt diversos des de diferents perspectives, per\u00f2 tots comparteixen tres eixos fonamentals per avan\u00e7ar cap a un futur m\u00e9s esperan\u00e7ador per als pacients i les seves fam\u00edlies: col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3, talent i innovaci\u00f3\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Lliurament dels ajuts de la convocat\u00f2ria competitiva<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cosmocaixa.org\/ca\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Museu de la Ci\u00e8ncia CosmoCaixa<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> acollir\u00e0 aquesta tarda l\u2019acte de lliurament dels ajuts, al qual assistiran diversos representants de la Fundaci\u00f3 \u201dla Caixa\u201d, com el subdirector general d\u2019Investigaci\u00f3 i Beques, \u00c0ngel Font, i la directora general adjunta, Esther Planas. Aix\u00ed mateix, estaran presents a la cerim\u00f2nia la presidenta de la Fundaci\u00f3n Luz\u00f3n, Mar\u00eda Jos\u00e9 Arregui; la vicepresidenta senior de Breakthrough T1D, Esther Latres; i la vocal del Conselho Directivo da Funda\u00e7\u00e3o para a Ci\u00eancia e a Tecnologia, Paula Diogo, a m\u00e9s dels investigadors i investigadores que lideren els projectes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La convocat\u00f2ria, que destina aquest any 26 milions d\u2019euros a investigacions biom\u00e8diques d\u2019excel\u00b7l\u00e8ncia, concedeix fins a 500.000 euros a projectes en qu\u00e8 hi ha una sola instituci\u00f3 d\u2019investigaci\u00f3 implicada, i fins a un mili\u00f3 d\u2019euros a consorcis d\u2019investigaci\u00f3 formats per diverses institucions. En aquesta edici\u00f3, els projectes en consorci compten amb la col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 de grups d\u2019investigaci\u00f3 de set pa\u00efsos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Des que va comen\u00e7ar el programa el 2018, la dotaci\u00f3 total de la convocat\u00f2ria d\u2019Investigaci\u00f3 en Salut de la Fundaci\u00f3 \u201dla\u00a0Caixa\u201d ha estat de 172,3 milions d\u2019euros per a 234 projectes, dels quals 162 estan liderats per equips espanyols, i 72, per grups d\u2019investigaci\u00f3 de Portugal.
